Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st October 1995 in Berkeley, California, USA. She's an actress known for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House, 2022.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she has herself been pursuing. The Church was directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film that she played Nanni Moretti's daughter came out a year after. However, it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido that made Asia's acting career explode. Cannes International Film Festival was a great achievement for the film. The film was made with her father for the debut time on Trauma, a renowned Italian director of horror, Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favourite actress, and she played an anorexic looking to find her parents' killer. Asia's intense, absorbed performance style was utilized in the film Condannato a nozze. In 1993, she co-starred as Arianna the disabled child in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista. It was a complex and demanding role in which she received an award of David di Donatello. The 1995 film she co-directed with Michel Piccoli for Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio won her the David di Donatello award, in addition to a Grolla d'oro. Asia started her short film directing career in 1994. She also directed an episode for the film De Generazione. 1996 saw her directing a documentary alongside her father. 1998 was the year she directed AbelAsia about the famous filmmaker Abel Ferrara. This film received a prize from the Rome Film Festival. Asia was the director of her first film in Scarlet Diva (1999), in which she was the main actress in the film and the author of its screenplay. The film was released globally in May 2000. It was awarded in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
